Phil Colaco is a Managing Director and co-founding Partner of McColl Partners. Mr. Colaco serves as the head of the firm's Business and Financial Services Group. Previously, he was at Bowles Hollowell Conner/First Union Securities. His transaction experience includes buyside and sellside assignments in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, diversified manufacturing, food and consumer products, healthcare, and media. Prior to joining Bowles Hollowell, Mr. Colaco worked in the investment banking division of Lehman Brothers in New York and as a senior research analyst with Shadwell Partners, a hedge fund investing in financial services companies.

Mr. Colaco received a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Virginia and a master of business administration degree with concentrations in finance and accounting from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, where he graduated with highest honors and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society. Mr. Colaco is on the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Western North Carolina and the University of North Carolina School of Law’s Center for Banking and Finance. Additionally, he previously served as the President of the Association for Corporate Growth’s Carolinas Chapter.
